What Is COB LED Strip?
COB (Chip-on-Board) LED strip is an advanced lighting technology where LED chips are mounted directly onto the PCB and covered with a phosphor layer, creating a continuous, dot-free light line. Unlike traditional SMD strips where individual LED dots are visible, COB strips produce smooth, uniform illumination without any visible hot spots.
This technology is widely adopted in premium commercial environments — from retail displays to hotel cove lighting — where visible LED dots are unacceptable. Our COB range covers densities from 288 to 1600 LEDs per meter, with CRI RA80 and RA90 options available.

DC COB strips (12V/24V) require an external LED driver/power supply. They offer better dimming control, longer lifespan, and are safer for indoor use. AC COB strips (220V) connect directly to mains without any external driver, making installation simpler and reducing component cost — ideal for long runs and outdoor applications.
CCT tunable COB strips have two LED lines on the same PCB — typically warm white (WW, 3000K) and cool white (W, 6000K). By adjusting the brightness ratio between the two lines using a CCT controller, you can produce any color temperature in between. We offer 480/576/624 LED/m CCT tunable models.
Running water (also called horse race or chase effect) COB strips create a flowing light effect along the strip length using a special controller. Our 360 LED/m model is designed for decorative facade lighting, signage borders, and architectural accent applications.
The minimum order quantity is 3,000 meters per model for standard products. For OEM orders with custom branding and packaging, the MOQ is 5,000 meters per specification.
