Why Neon Flex Looks Different from Standard LED Strips
Standard LED strips show individual LED dots when viewed directly. Even high-density COB strips, while dot-free, produce a visible line of light that doesn’t match the glowing tube appearance of neon.
Neon flex strips place SMD LEDs inside a milky silicone tube. The silicone diffuses the light completely, producing:
- Uniform glow along the entire length — no hot spots or dots
- Classic “neon tube” appearance — indistinguishable from glass neon at a glance
